Description: Aran is a troubled young man, the life he’s lived has quickly hardened him. He can be quick to defensiveness or fear when it comes to strangers, but he's never on-edge around the very few people he trusts. Beneath that gruff exterior is an intelligent gentle giant, a vulnrable soul, and a deeply loyal friend. Breaking through his walls even with good intentions is it's own challenge.

Aran is a very supportive friend to Ember, but he's also a very anxious and (understandably) protective one. Like his friend Ember, both out of desperation follow their 'guide' Don, although Aran is much more openly hostile and distrustful of their new green 'friend'. He and Don butt heads a lot, the main source of inner-group conflict.
